A look back…
Knoxville: Summer of 1915
Collaboration is one of my favorite aspects of this career. Growing up with two artists of different disciplines, I've always been excited by the idea of combining them. For my senior recital in 2019, I wanted to make sure larger collaborations were a big part of my final showcase at the University of Maryland. I recruited my fellow students and created a chamber orchestra with a conductor. I asked my mom, Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, to choreograph a solo piece for herself to underscore James Agee’s text. I am so proud of the art we created together. You can take a look back at the final project here. I had the privilege of revisiting this piece for my final WFMT of my Ryan Opera Center journey (April 2026) with Michael Banwarth.
